Information about the area:

Hitzing is the 13th district of Vienna. It is traditionally divided into six districts that correspond to the earlier villages: Hitzing (also Alt-Hitzing) in the northeast, Unter Saint Veit in the north, Aubert Saint Veit in the northwest, Hacking in the west, Leinz (geographic center). ) and Speising in the south. Until 1938, he also owned other former villages: see Penzing, now the 14th district. The area also includes parts of the Vienna Woods and the large Schönbrunn palace park, which connects to Hitzing (east) towards the city. The summer residence of the Habsburgs led to the settlement of many aristocrats and high-ranking officials until 1900, which is why Altitzing, Leinz and St. Veit are still considered to be an elegant residential area. In the south, in the years after World War I, new settlements such as Auhofer Trennstück and Friedensstadt were built in previously wooded areas.
